Assistant Editor

You must have a keen sense of news and a good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. You should be able to write objective news analyses and features on a wide range of topics. As Assistant Editor, your duties include assisting the Chief Editor in managing a team of journalists and photographers, planning stories, editing and rewriting copies, and editing pictures. You should be able to work without supervision. This job demands that you work long and irregular hours and on weekends and public holidays. Those who have worked for news magazines and have some experience of online journalism will have an advantage.

Journalist

If you are curious, interested in people and have a lot of questions to ask about people and things that affect you, then we have a job for you. Experience is not necessary as you will be given on-the-job training. But those who have worked for newspapers or news magazines and have some experience of online journalism will have an advantage. However, you must have a good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. You must like meeting people and enjoy writing. This job demands that you work long and irregular hours and on weekends and public holidays.

Preference will be given to those who have a passion for journalism and are willing to go the extra mile to achieve the journalistic objectives of Insight Sabah.

Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
