Delay has its virtue

It was to have been published two years ago. Lack of pictures to illustrate its topics delayed it until this year. The result when it finally got off the printing presses is a colourful 189-page coffee-table book of 216 pictures; eight of them black and white which take the readers briefly back to the 1950s and before the second world war. Kota Kinabalu and Surrounding Areas covers much of what is expected of such a book in eight chapters on the capital of the east Malaysian Borneo island state of Sabah.
