美容賺錢
參與美容師訓練課程的鄉村離校生不必付分文,反有錢拿。

愛美是女生的天性,就算是鄉村的婦女也不例外。有鑒于此,現年33歲,來自沙巴内陸地帶根地咬蘇克(Sook)的瑪麗詹東尼(Mary Jim Tony)在10年前,就以自學和上課的方式,進修理髮、化妝和美容護膚等課程自我充實,籍此協助其居住的鄉村的婦女。
憑著自己從理髮和美容化妝手藝所賺取的血汗錢,她在1996年於兵南邦東貢岸(Donggongon),一個距離亞庇約10公里的城鎮開設了本身的婚紗店。當該店的生意逐漸上軌道後,她在開設一間名為Everlasting婚紗攝影店的訓練學院,開班授徒,傳承本身所學的技術予來自鄉村的離校者,讓他們能掌握一技之長,在日後能成爲美容師。
她的首批共70名學生全部都是由沙巴州政府所贊助的。她所提供的課程介於三個月到一年,學費最高可達5,500令吉。州政府除贊助學生的學費外,同時也給予每名學生每月500令吉受訓津貼。迄今瑪麗已獲取逾38萬5,000令吉的學費。
瑪麗披露,她每月可從美容化妝処賺取介於1萬至1萬5,000令吉,其中的5,000令吉將作爲她的訓練學院的運作經費。
當然,她也不甘于現狀。“從現在起,我要在二至三年内能享譽國際,”她如是表示。如今,她正努力學習和提升本身的技術,以求能更進一步。瑪麗指出,目前州内有6,000至7,000名美容師。“但是真正有實力的十分難尋。”
在沙巴約有10間類似瑪麗所擁有的訓練學院。他們都是從鄉村,尤其是在聯邦土地發展局(Felda)土地統一與復新有限公司( Felcra)農耕土地計劃下的貧苦人士吸收新的學員。這些新學員的學費都是由人力資源發展部所贊助的。– Insight Sabah
