“I am confident that all the BN division machinery is fully prepared,” Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin told reporters after the general election briefing by the Sabah BN Coordination Chairmen at UMNO Building, yesterday.
He said that Sabah BN was prepared to face the coming 13th general election and confident that Sabah will remain as a Barisan Nasional (BN) state.
“I’m very confident that Sabah will remain as a ‘blue state’. This is a statement based on the facts and data presented to me.
“I’m also satisfied with the results of the polls conducted to measure the voters sentiment showing that the majority of Sabahans supporting BN,” he said.
Muhyiddin disclosed that the next few weeks would be very important for BN to further strengthen its position in every area.
“We need to give attention to certain groups of voters, that is, the young and the first time voters; and at the same time to continue to help resolve the issues related to development and other matters. I believe Sabah is ready,” he said.
Muhyiddin expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation and close relationship among the Sabah BN component parties, which he said was the party’s strength. – Insight Sabah
