Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today met with the Sabah UMNO and BN component members, with whom he discussed at length their readiness for the upcoming 13th General Election.
When met after the meeting with the Prime Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan told reporters that the meeting with Najib was significant as it reflected the close rapport between BN component members and the Chairman of BN,” he said.
Pairin said that such closeness has enabled leaders to be more focused on areas that need more attention to enhance the preparations to face the upcoming elections.
Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environment Tan Sri Joseph Kurup told reporters that the Prime Minister reminded those present to be always prepared for the elections, which can happen at any time.
“I think the Prime Minister is quite satisfied with the preparations that we have made (to face the elections),” he added.
Puteri UMNO Head, Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin said that the meeting was a part of preparation to face the coming general election.

“During the meeting, he (Najib) gave a lot of advice and most of his concern is towards the people. He wanted the component parties to make sure that the people’s problems are not a burden and to be resolved in the best way possible,” he said.
