A seminar to discuss vital issues for women

"Health and wealth as the basis of happiness." This is the theme of the seminar organised by the Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (PUSPANITA) Sabah division.

"The definition of happiness is different for every individual, but at the very least happiness requires health and wealth," said Datuk Noni Said, the seminar's organizing chairwoman during her opening speech.

The one-day seminar, which was attended by 170 PUSPANITA members, was aimed at increasing awareness among participants of the importance of healthcare and sound financial management.

The seminar had two guest speakers - Dr. Richard Ng, Medicine and Geriatric specialist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Dato' Azlina Abdullah who is the founder and CEO of D'Navechee Beauty Sdn Bhd

Hairani HussainiIn her opening speech Chairwoman of PUSPANITA Sabah, Puan Sri Hairani Hussaini urged participants to take the opportunity to garner useful information from the seminar.

"The aging process has many side effects," she warned.

As such, Hairani hopes that the seminar participants will learn much from the seminar and find the knowledge gained helpful in daily application.

PUSPANITA Sabah was officially launched in 1983. Its membership has grown tremendously over the years beginning with 200 registered members in 1983 to 5880 registered members in 2012. - Insight Sabah
