沙巴音樂家是時候登上舞臺

<b>發掘本地具才華的音樂家</b>：馬希迪（居中者）與一眾沙巴音樂家。

沙巴文化理事會欲培養更多有才華的本地音樂人

地廣人多的沙巴其實從不缺有才華的音樂人，然而根據沙巴旅遊、文化和環境部長馬希迪俊披露，他們迄今仍沒有一個正式的地點能供這些有才華的音樂人綻放本身的音樂才華。有鑒于此，沙巴文化理事會決與亞庇新天地(Waterfront)的Cock and Bull酒吧合作，讓有志投身音樂界的沙巴漢能在該処一展本身的才華。

因此，他們在去年2月份所舉辦名為Prima Akustika的樂隊比賽中，從35支參賽樂隊挑選出10支最優秀的樂隊，並安排他們每週日傍晚在該酒吧駐場表演。

“這只不過是開端，”馬希迪在2月24日為聲樂之夜（Akustika (acoustics) Nite）主持推介禮時如是表示。“我們要讓他們有機會展現他們的才藝。”

他說，文化理事會將竭盡所能，協助沙巴培養更多專業且有潛能的音樂人。

“目前本地的駐唱樂隊大多都是由菲律賓人所主導，”馬希迪說。“因此我們才要改變。在我的觀點，只要我們的音樂人有才華，我們就會給予他們機會、鼓勵和訓練，讓他們得以脫穎而出。” – Insight Sabah
