長壽來自于能讓無聲疾病遠離的每天固定步行

每天步行1萬步看似是項艱辛的任務,但若取決於你步幅長度,步行5公里,將能增強你的健康,遠離疾病,同時在沒有不可抗力的情況下,讓你得以長壽和喜悅。在早晨或傍晚步行一小時並不會為你帶來額外花費;你所需的,也只是一件T恤、短褲和一雙好的跑步鞋
這些也是沙巴副首席部長耶耶胡申日前在亞庇比打卡士,為一項呼籲人民每天步行1萬步的健康活動時,向出席者所傳達的信息。這項活動是聯邦衛生部自2009年在吉隆坡推行後,逐漸延伸至全國各地的健康活動。沙巴州是在去年於吧巴舉行首次推介儀式。
約有400人參與這項活動。也是農業與食品工業部長的耶耶胡申為面對肥胖問題困擾的人帶來好消息:若每天步行5公里,持之以恆,16天後,體重將減少16公斤(35磅)。
衛生部當初就因擔心馬來西亞2800萬人口中,過半都是擁有久坐的生活方式而推動這項計劃。據一項調查顯示,100名馬來西亞人當中,有44人都處於“不活躍”狀態。衛生局官員表示,這些國民屬患致命心臟病的高風險群。世界衛生組織(WHO)的數據也顯示,每年約有190萬人的死與缺乏運動息息相關。在擁有久坐生活方式的人,患有心臟病的風險較常人高出1倍半。
官員們表示,目前領頭的致命疾病包括癌症、心臟病發和甜尿病;這些都是與肥胖有著不可分割的關係。心臟病是馬來西亞的頭號殺手,在沙巴也是一樣。據沙巴衛生局非傳染病科副總監妮瑪考爾醫生表示,每五名馬來西亞人中就有兩人有肥胖的問題,他們當中,每八人就有一人患有糖尿病。換言之,這也意味著馬來西亞有1100萬人有肥胖問題,當中有350萬人是糖尿病患者。
無論如何,沙巴的糖尿病患者人數最低,320萬人口中只有5%,等同于有16萬名沙巴人是糖尿病患者。(西馬半島的森美蘭州是全國糖尿病患者最高的州屬,估計佔該州人口超過15%。)
然而,讓人感到擔憂的是,據沙巴州内政府醫院的數據顯示,高血壓的病案自2008年來,已增加了30%,達到1萬7335宗。在去年,共有242在沙巴州内政府醫院内因心臟病發而逝世。
考爾醫生建議人們應培養步行的習慣。她認爲,每個人每天應當步行1萬步,儘管人們普遍上每週需要2小時半作運動。她說,他們開始時可設定一個較易達成的目標,之後逐步前進,直至最終得以達成步行1萬步的目標。
“要身體健康是沒有捷徑的,”她向Insight Sabah這麽表示。“運動是邁向健康和長壽生活的答案。”她補充,這些都必須與低脂飲食和無煙無酒的生活相輔而行。
考爾醫生表示,糖尿病是造成所有疾病的導因。“它是個能波及所有器官的無聲疾病,”她說。“人們的問題都是病入膏肓才求醫。當糖尿病病情惡化後,將帶來一系列的並發症,這加劇了治療的難度。” – Insight Sabah
